Is it strange that Frank's eyes are still so black when he's now 1 year old?

I'm not up on mutations but if depends on his mutation whether he gets an iris ring or stays black. Other more into genetics may advise more info.

I think it is strange that his eyes have no iris ring and his cere is still purple if he is 1 year old. He looks no more than 4-5 months old to me.

I'm thinking the same rachelm. We got him at the end of Feb this year and he would've been about 10-12 weeks old when we picked him up, that photo above I took today...

I'm wondering if it has anything to do with his 'pied' spot. Maybe he is recessive pied with only that one pied area. Very strange indeed Frankiebird!!!
