New To The Forum, Hoping To Buy New Friend

Hi I'm beemack, recently back as a budgie owner, after having bred them as a youngster many years ago.

I bought a young greywing, Kaz, in July and he was a great little friend, but was hit by Megabacteria which seems to have damaged his organs; all the life just progressively went out of him and he died this morning at the vet while they were treating him. Probably only about 9 months old.

I'll be in Melbourne over Christmas (24-28December) and would like to get a new bird, same name for sure, and I wondered if any members/breeders would have a young male budgie I could buy, the younger the better. I've raised them from fledgling myself, so I'm not put off by extra care if they're just out of the nest. Colour not a major decider, just a healthy bird with a bit of character as he will initially be a solo pet.

Could anyone let me know?

Thanks.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Sorry about the loss of your little friend and I hope you find another one soon.

Is that your bird on your profile picture. He looks like my Charlie. I'm in Canada so just posted to say hi.

Hi Phoebes, yes, that was Kaz.

Quite a talker for a young guy, and very like your Charlie from the look of it. Thanks to you and Nadene for the hello.

He seems to like the phone in that picture. He really looks like Charlie's twin there. :)

Hi Beemack, welcome to the forum. Hope you find a new friend soon.
