Cage Big Enough For Two Budgies?

Featured Replies

Hi frankiebird,

For me it is too small for two budgies, but that is me. Some more experienced member might be able to help a little better.

Regards,

Jaff

They are great cages and it is fine for 2 budgies but you need to change the perches so they are running front to back not side to side so they have more flying space.

Hi frankiebird, that would be an ideal size cage for 2 birds, and i would recomend the same as Nadene to run the 2 perches from front to back one each side of the cage, you could also add a swing hanging in the middle from top of cage. Also if you want the same cage at a cheaper price I would recommend the following web site -

They are just outside of Melbourne and freight, postage costs are very reasonable. Check Item Number: BF4 its the same cage as what you have shown, same size, you can order it with or without the spring loaded breeding box flip door. . There is even the one next size up to the one you showed its a bigger cage allround and its the same price as the smaller one you showed, check Item Number: BF2 Good luck with it.

thanks everyone, and thanks for the link trefto, very good prices indeed!

Yes ,that cage is fine for two budgies. I use them as my breeding cages.

It is a good cage for 2.

I personally do not like wooden dowels for perch's. I would just chuck them out and get rope perch's and have them with different sizes to help exercise the budgies feet. Also you can use natural branches too.
