My first advice is to definitely feed them fruit and vegetables, my birds like broccoli and silver beat, also silver beat helps them get into breeding condition.

Secondly - leave them be, don't disturb them.

Ensure that they are both in breeding condition, female will have a dark brown cere (nose) and the male a deep blue.

About putting them together, you can just put two together, but you must ensure that they are not fighting, as they can kill if they don't like each other.

Lastly, I strongly recommend not colony breeding (all birds in one cage / aviary) as this often leads to death and blood.

If you have any other questions just PM me.

Thank you, I already hVe a pair I won't to put together and think their Ceres are what you explain. I have a separate cage ready for them, how long does the bonding process take roughly? I'm so excited to breed ;)

If your pairs are in breeding condition it can take as little as 10-14 days for the first egg.

Mind you though that is when they become bonded, I know I tried to breed for 2 years before I got my first egg, however I was colony breeding. The bonding process could be a day to a couple of weeks I guess, just however long it takes. The females cere is almost rough or flaky I would say.
