Aside from budgies I also keep and breed rainbow lorikeets, here are a couple shots of 2 together that I bred of Lutino Rainbow Lorikeets and another of one of my older hen bird Lutino lorikeet.

They are lovely birds. I notice they have flowers I suppose they like the nectar? I guess their feeding habits must be different than budgies. I've never seen one of those where I live they are rather exotic looking, where are they from?

Hi Phoebes, These Lorikeets are a mutated color variety of the Native Australian Rainbow Lorikeet, they are kind of rare at the moment as they are a reasonably new color mutation, they are sex linked genetically same as the lutino budgies, and yes they love to eat the nectar from all the Australian blossoming gum trees, they live on the pollen , nectar froim the blossoms, in captivity they are fed a powder mix of feed, they do also like sunflower seeds.

They are amazing. I was going to buy rainbow lorikeets, but I didn't have the room. I would be interested into breeding them too though.
