Posted October 1, 201311 yr Hi, my name is Mark and I have finally joined this great forum. I have been browsing for over a year but couldn't join because my email wasn't compatible. But here I am now and looking forward to gaining lots of info from all the experienced people here. I have 32 budgies at the moment (not counting babies). These are pet types and not show quality, but this is something I would like to look into in the future. This has been my first year of breeding and I have totally enjoyed the experience. I had 15 pairs altogether, not sure how many babies (lost count - would have to check records). I did have quite a few infertile eggs so will be gaining as much info as I can to change/improve this for next time. I bred through the winter (indoors) and am winding down now. My last pair had different ideas though and have laid 11 eggs (4 hatched so far) so I will be waiting a while for these to finish. Luckily I have some foster parents available. Anyway I'm glad to be be part of this community.

October 1, 201311 yr Welcome to the forum. I have been breeding for 3 years and only have 12 budgies. Mind you I only have one successful pair and only raised 5 babies from my one good pair that started last year the first year nothing very upsetting second year I got 2 and on the 3rd year i got 4 but one died at 2 days old for no reason. Looks like you are doing well.
