Posted July 1, 201311 yr As some of you know I had my first clutch recently and they are almost ready to go. It was a bit scary because this was uncharted territory. Allie did lay 7 eggs of which 6 were fertile and hatched. I was worried about her seeming emaciated and exhausted at times. Well both have pulled through fine and fattened up. Here they are. Soon I will have to undertake clipping all my birds nails. I'll let you know how that turns out.
July 3, 201311 yr Allie and Noah did well with their first time eggs Phoebes. Congratulations! :-) Edited July 3, 201311 yr by amum4children
July 8, 201311 yr They look great now Phoebes, rearing a clutch does take a bit out of the parents but they soon bounce back. I had one clutch of nine and poor Dad was a bit ragged at the end, he had food caked on his mask/bib whatever I had to give him a clean up when he had finally finished his duties but he's great now, a couple of weeks and he's after the girls in the aviary already. l.o.l.

I'd love to see pics of that little guy. He sounds like quite a character. Edited July 8, 201311 yr by Phoebes
