As some of you know I had my first clutch recently and they are almost ready to go. It was a bit scary because this was uncharted territory. Allie did lay 7 eggs of which 6 were fertile and hatched. I was worried about her seeming emaciated and exhausted at times. Well both have pulled through fine and fattened up. Here they are.

Soon I will have to undertake clipping all my birds nails. I'll let you know how that turns out.

Allie and Noah did well with their first time eggs Phoebes. Congratulations! :-)

They look great now Phoebes, rearing a clutch does take a bit out of the parents but they soon bounce back. I had one clutch of nine and poor Dad was a bit ragged at the end, he had food caked on his mask/bib whatever I had to give him a clean up when he had finally finished his duties but he's great now, a couple of weeks and he's after the girls in the aviary already. l.o.l.

I'd love to see pics of that little guy. He sounds like quite a character.
