Male Budgie Always Sleepy

Featured Replies

Hi!

One of my male budgie, around 2yrs old, is always sleepy and not active like budgie should be,

But when he is not,he act fine (I know budgies/birds can hide sickness well)

he eat well, he come and talk to me and talk to the other budgies, but he look sleepy, tucks his head and its just like

he has low energy. Dont look ill in any other way.

What can be wrong? I have never see a budgie like this and I have had budiges for 20 years.

If someone know, is this something dangerus to my other lovely budgies?

IS there something I can do for him?

I give him loads of stuff to eat, eggfood, many varietied of seeds, vegetable etc..

When he's sleepy does he perch on both feet or one? When he tucks his head in, if he perch's on one foot they say he's okay., if both feet there could be a problem. I read this somewhere on here that a sick bird won't perch on one foot. He may just be a bit of a lazy bones. :)

All good Vagar, maybe he saves his energy just for the girls. l.o.l.
