The man I bought my breeding cages off told me that green hens are better at sitting on eggs than other colored birds.

 

Is this true?

 

He told me some breeders take their eggs and replace them with eggs from other clutches that aren't good at sitting.

 

Also why we are at it does anyone know the a dutch author that wrote allot of budgies books?

I've never heard of this, I don't have any normal green females in my aviary but all my other coloured birds incubate and raise the babies perfectly.
