Posted March 24, 201312 yr Hi, Unfortunately we lost our nearly 5 year old male recently. Who knew that could hurt so much - he left a large impact on our lives and was doted on. So anyway, we stumbled upon this little one and while we thought it a male originally, now not sure at all. We've had (her) for 24 hours and not really a peep (quarantined upstairs as we have a female downstairs). We did a basic bite test (not as savage as our other female) but aside from that we are stumped now. Any ideas out there or more info/better pics needed? Thanks in advance.
March 25, 201312 yr Author Many thanks and apologies for forgetting pics. Given she has just started chirping from quarantine upstairs to our female downstairs we now assume she is a she but love to hear any opinions. Thanks!
March 25, 201312 yr Looks like a young cock bird to me. Still looks to have baby bars.maybe under 3 mths old. He looks to be a very pretty bird. Others can tell mutations better than I, my guess would be sky greywing spangle.
March 30, 201312 yr Hi, It seems to have a strong pink cere which would make it a male I believe. It's a lovely bird, I'm looking at getting some similar to him. Thanks
