Just thought I'd share a funny photo. I think she had a bath in the beetroot, she was covered from head to toe in red literally :D

Yeah, she did look like she was part of a crime scene :D

She must have really loved it Nadene, so far mine have just looked at it, had a nibble at the leaves and that's it. Will keep trying them though.

I think she did Robyn, I've never seen one where the red was all over their body (it doesn't really show in the photo). I find that my young birds like it when it is greated so if you have a kindy cage put it in there and they might start eating it and grow up with the taste.The older ones eat the leaves and I leave a little bit on the ends which the sometimes have a nibble at. :)

Mine also love it Nadene.

I get the real large one's and put them on a skewer... they go nuts for it.

Some of my Lutino's get covered from head to toe also.

i am yet to try mine on beetroot.

they love diced up carrot and tonight they will be having corn. :)

I am thinking of putting my young birds on beetroot, when they can eat on their own.
