Hi all, thought I'd try to share a few pics of my birds in their flight while I cleaned aviary. As photobucket has changed since I last added pics hope they work.

Absolutely beautiful birds Robyn.

How big is your aviary? (hope you don't mind me asking) I have decided to extend mine a little so I'm glad to see what you used for your corner posts :)

Thank you both, Nadene, son & Hubby welded my frame using tube steel in aviary and old bed irons in flight. The rest was a recycled car port.

Swing again Hubby's work,Birdlove, I made the beaded one from an old tapestry frame, with a four chain pot plant holder. They love that one, it's like a "square table" conference on that. Aviary is about 9x8 ft I think.

My birds are looking very nice at the moment but I have full quota, so can't breed until I can reduce my numbers, (pet shop is also full ).

I try to breed a pet type to the few show culls I have and have bred some nice sized birds from that.

Gorgeous birds, you have some beautiful colours in there! The aviary looks fantastic too! Goes to show that a bit of recycling goes a long way! Thanks for posting the pics robyn :)

Thanks for the pictures robyn. It makes newbies like myself dream about what is possible. You birds are beautiful!

Thanks everyone, I really love the breeding part of buds seeing what colours etc, unfortunately I was over my "quota" for my aviary, so, to be able to breed again I had to sell some of my birds to make room. I keep my favourites and breeding birds. It's hard deciding what to sell but it's either that or just stop breeding.

Yes, I have the same problem. My numbers are creeping up, so I should sell off the ones I don't have plans for. Or I should decrease the scope of my plans. But that's hard to do when I look at them and think about all their potential.

I got drastic and sold over 20 of mine last year, including my creamino hen. Then I decided I wanted to try to breed lacewings, and I needed some sort of ino hen, and I could have kicked myself for selling that one. I ended up actually going out and buying another creamino hen!
