Posted November 1, 201212 yr Hi, My lutino female has just bred with a violet male which is split for cinnamon. The babies turned out 2 brown wings, 1 green and 1 violet, will all the babies be split for lutino and also split for cinnamon? They all seem to be male budgies, I know that only males can be split for lutino. Can all the babies be split or just the green baby. Thanks
November 1, 201212 yr All of your male babies will be split for ino, and half of your males will also be split for cinnamon. Your cinnamon babies will be hens. Cheers Jenny
November 2, 201212 yr Author One of the cinnamon's seems to be a male, so far it looks as though I have 3 males and 1 unknown.
November 5, 201212 yr Author The mum must be a lace wing because it has very faint markings along the wings and the baby looks like it is almost 100% male.
December 5, 201212 yr Author These 2 budgies have taken the longest for their ceres to color, but now I can definitely say they are both females meaning the dad is split cinnamon and the mum is a normal lutino. She is having her second clutch before being stopped and now has three cinnamon's again. Hopefully all goes well. Thanks
