Is it safe to introduce a new budgie to my other two budgies I am woried that the others will attack it we have not got

it because we are not sure it will be okay and I need all your oppions

Firstly you need to quarantine all new budgie's from previous budgie's to ensure no one is carring any bugs or illness' that can be passed on to others.

Secondly are they males or females and on what size your cage is.

Hope all is well with you.

Hi. If You have a hen already in a cage it is usually better not to add more birds. Hens are very territorial & may kill a new bird.

It's okay in an aviary. where there is plenty of room. Plus Jodie's advice

it is 79cm wide and 135cm high? I have a male and a female, the female is still underage will she still show sines of aggression?

we only want to add 1 more budgie to the cage is that okay?

i would leave the budgies in seperate cages next to each other and when you go on your holiday, trip when you come back just put the other one in there and montor the budgies to check for any signs of aggresion

With those measurements it should be big enough for 3 birds. As long as you remember to quarantine the new bird AWAY from other cage for 3-4- weeks to see all is okay. As long as there are no nest box's you should have a happy trio. :) I think I'd add another male. Pics when your ready would be good.

When I added my 4 new babies to a relatively new pair (male and female) they told me to rearrange the cage, if even slightly - that it would help with the territorial issues. I was surprised no one suggested that. Is that just folk lore?
