New, And An American In Sweden

Featured Replies

I'm Nayomi and an American in Sweden. I've got 2 budgies...today. Yesterday I had 3 :(. I've also got two lovebirds and a cockatiel. Not to mention 3 kids, 2 cats, and a husband!

My sudden, traumatic and tragic reduction in flock size sent me out on a quest for info, and I had a hard time finding an active budgie group, but then found you guys. I'm 46, and as I said, an American in Sweden, and I've lived here for 13 years. My birds are all kept in cages that meet the requirement by Swedish Agriculture department, and they are all allowed to fly free in the house for at least 3 hours or more a day. Right now the lovebirds are not flying free, but they are umm...well... they aren't called 'love' birds for nothing, and he's being very protective and territorial of her while she's 'busy.'

I'm friendly, spontaneous, and spell like the cheeky American I am :). I also have severe ADHD and mild Asperger's syndrome, so sometimes I can either reveal too much, or not quite read things right, and might misunderstand things a little bit, but it's not intentional, it's just who I am, and I can promise you that my heart is in the right place!

Hope this American gal is welcome here!
