September 24, 201212 yr Hi your chicks look so good and so very sweet, I was also wondering do your budgie's names have any relation to the game Final fantasy? I am probably terribly wrong and they are just Lightning and Snow as in the weather. Anyways your chicks are wonderful!
September 24, 201212 yr Author Sorry but it's just in the whether because my female is a white budgie and my male is a mauve that's fine any way
September 24, 201212 yr Is snow an Albino? If so would your 2 red eyed chicks be Cock birds? (Just speculating) :)
September 25, 201212 yr Author Yes snow is a Albino and i have no clue what sex they are,So could you help with some tips thx. And may i ask could you get a bit of green out of thease perants, the breeder i got them from said thats yes there was a wild tpe budgie in her avriy and so culd it came around in my birds becase my oldest one has a green on his wings. :)
September 25, 201212 yr I'm afraid I'm not the person to help. Just reading up on things Albino is a sex linked mutation. I think if Mum is albino and not Dad all her Albino chicks would be male. Then again I could have my wires crossed, someone will correct this if I'm wrong. As to if you could get green it would depend on what the birds are split to. Beautiful pics by the way, keep them coming as they grow.
September 25, 201212 yr Author I think that one albino is a male and im not sure of the other but i think it is a female, I will update photos tomorrow and just so i do not have to start a new post i will show you photos of the breading cages me and my dad are making :)
September 25, 201212 yr Sorry but it's just in the whether because my female is a white budgie and my male is a mauve that's fine any way Ahh! I thought it might be the case, there's no harm in asking right? Looking forward to the updates though!
September 26, 201212 yr Author Sorry but updats will have to wait till next week my computer is stuffing up so sorry but i can tell you there going grate
September 27, 201212 yr Sorry but updats will have to wait till next week my computer is stuffing up so sorry but i can tell you there going grate That is fine as long everything is going well
September 28, 201212 yr Yes snow is a Albino and i have no clue what sex they are,So could you help with some tips thx. In order for you to get any ino chicks (which you have) the male must be carrying it, so your male is split to ino. If only the mother had the ino gene, then you would get male chicks split for albino, but no visuals. Since both of your parents have the ino gene, then your ino chicks can be any gender, and you will have to tell by the color of their ceres. Some people can tell very early, and other people have to wait until it's more obvious. And may i ask could you get a bit of green out of thease perants, the breeder i got them from said thats yes there was a wild tpe budgie in her avriy and so culd it came around in my birds becase my oldest one has a green on his wings. :) Green is dominant over blue, so if you don't see any green in the parents, they do not have it, and neither will the chicks. Perhaps the green on the chick's wings is a stain. When you get your computer working again, try to post a photos of it for us. With blue based parents, the only way I can figure you can get any yellow at all would be if one parent was a double factor yf1. If that was the case, then ALL of the chicks would be single factor yf1, and they would all have to have yellow. So a photo of the green you are seeing might clear this up.
September 28, 201212 yr Author okay well i am very sorry but tuesday is when they will came and also with the green it may just be a very dark blue but to me it looks green :) also the only reason i can not post pics is because i do not have any more space on the computer to upload to it then to photo bucket.
