Hi all my female budgie is rasing her first clutch and she has scaly face and i was wondering if i could treat it but i was just scared if i did treat it it would effect the babies thx

Are you treating her with Ivomectin? If so I don't think it would affect chicks, if you leave it and she has scaly face mites she could maybe pass them on to chicks I don't know. Just a quess but I think treating her would be your best option (one drop on back of neck) of Ivomectin and repeat in 2 weeks if it's not clearing up.

 

p.s. only treat Mum not chicks.
