Posted September 9, 201213 yr Hey everyone! I'm Em, and as the subject title implicates, I'm new here. Hubby and I just got a couple of budgies (which colours need identifying, so I'll post pics in that thread) which has rekindled our passion for the little ratbags, so much so that we're considering getting into the breeding game, and possibly even showing - but it seems a little difficult in Tassie. Anyway, our toddler son LOVES them and we love them and yeah... Anyway, hi!

If you decide to pursue the exhibition side of the hobby there are a number of top breeders in Tassie, who are very approachable and would be quite willing to assist anybody starting out with exhibition budgerigars. I hope you don't let the perceived difficulty prevent you and your family from enjoying this branch of the hobby.
