Posted July 4, 201212 yr This little one is really young, about 6 weeks old. It appears to be a yellowface type 2 grey. In the photos the tummy looks really grey but in "real life" it has a greenish tinge to it almost but in some light it looks almost mauve lol Cere is also darker purple in real life. oh yeah, has anyone got name suggestions?? :-D Edited July 4, 201212 yr by **KAZ**
July 4, 201212 yr Author Enjoying some time outside The stomach is definitely more grey-greenish but so hard to capture :-/
July 4, 201212 yr Author Kids and I have finally decided to name him Jasper and if it turns out he is indeed a she (in bright daylight the cere reallly is darker purple than in these photos ;-) ) the name will become Jazzy :-D Edited July 4, 201212 yr by Clouds birds
July 5, 201212 yr Congrats on the new edition. Looks like my little baby. I thinks she's a female. She's got a sharp look.
July 13, 201212 yr Author New bubba is doing well though still quite shy and scared sometimes (gets all huffy puffy lol) Took this photo today sitting on my daughter's shoulder. The cere matches the colour of my daughter's bedroom wall lol Jasper appears to be a yellowface II mauve not grey, thanks Kaz :-) Tail in sunlight is definitely a dark navy blue
July 14, 201212 yr Very nice, should colour up more after first moult. Doing well to be sitting on shoulders already.
July 14, 201212 yr Author What will the colour do, you reckon Robyn? Go more greeny or go more grey? Will the yellow bleed more into the feathers? I like this mutations actually even though I wanted one with more "pastel" colours ;-D Yeah (s)he is very comfortable sitting on shoulders, does not like to be petted though (everytime my finger goes near his/her body (s)he steps up hahaha) Edited July 14, 201212 yr by Clouds birds
September 24, 201212 yr She's so adorable! There's a little budgie with the exact same coloration at the PetSmart near my house and I keep thinking I like it and would want to adopt that one, but then again I really do have a strong liking for the pied ones.
February 26, 201312 yr Hi, What a lovely bird, what I have found with grey birds over the years is if they have a yellow face they are a green grey and if they have a white face they are a blue grey
