Hey guys,

My budgie willow is a quiet bird most of the time but l suspect when my back is turned. she is very different.

 

Let me tell you a story of one of her other sides.

A few weeks ago l went away for the weekend and it was a short trip so l left willow at home. i forgot to shut my door left my door opened.

When l came back l went to my room and I did not see Willow in my room. I panicked and started to worry,

Then all of a sudden my sister yelled at me that Willow was in the living room.. I quickly got a towel and headed to the living room and there she was on a curtain rod. I tried to coax her down but she flew back and forth between the curtains. I backed away and she landed on the floor near me, so l quietly started to talk to her so she could calm down. To my surprise she flew right to my hand( she is not tame.) l calmly cupped my hands around her and brought her back to her cage.

 

I know noticed how she escaped. A cup holder for the cage fell off and left an opening in her cage. I quickly fixed the problem.

Well done Willow.

 

This is one of those things that we always wonder about isn't it? We see our pets, but what do they do when we are not looking? I like to believe they have their own little world, kind of like the toys in the Toy Story movies - LOL!!!

I think it's neat that even though she's not tame, when she found herself in a strange room, she recognized you and knew you were the safe place to go to.
