I have an 8 week old budggie that I have had a couple of weeks. When I brought him home he was so small I opted to put him in a smaller cage until he got adjusted and a little bigger. I would like to have his wings clipped and move him to a bigger cage, but don't want to do both at the same time. I know that when you clip them they have to adjust. So I would like input on which I should do first clip or move him to new cage?

You should only have to clip his wings if necessary. Like if you let him out a lot and he tends to crash.

HI, Just my personal opinion. I would Clip & move at the same time.

 

If your worried about his feelings etc. Why upset him twice?

 

 

Clipping is good & will help enormously during the taming period. Yours B.J.
