Guys,

I know it's not a budgie, and this may be a longshot but I am just wondering what type of bird this big fella is:

Not the best of photos, but I can tell you that it is making a call that sounds almost exactly like a puppy. In-fact until earlier this week, that's exactly what we thought it was and I nearly made a fool of myself with a neighbour.

It's a very nice looking bird. I think they are saying it's a "Koel", and that the Wattlebird is just parenting it.

Defiantly a Koel. and i would guess the noise will drop only after it moves on.
