Posted February 5, 201213 yr In the last week I have noticed that several of my budgies have a large, fairly hard, protruding crop that makes it look like they are top heavy. In 9 years of breeding budgies I have never come across this before. None of these birds are laying/in nest boxes. Is it some kind of crop infection/worms/yeast? What should I do? Thanks heaps.

The birds don't look sick, just like they have extraordinarily full crops and they feel kind of sandy from the outside. I don't think it is air sac mite from what I've read about the symptoms.
