Posted January 7, 201213 yr What is the reason behind the pink versus blue feet in budgies? I have tried to link it to colour/variety but there seems to be no pattern. The only pattern I see is that budgies with pink feet have yellow beaks and blue feet budgies have greeny beaks. It might be a silly question, but what colour are bush budgie's feet?
January 8, 201213 yr The was a thread on this a few years ago which I can't seem to find now but basically KAZ is right comes down to mutations... I'll keep searching for the thread and if I find it I'll add a link.
January 8, 201213 yr Author I thought there would have been a thread and I had a search last night but couldn't find anything. I have noticed that green birds have blue feet, but I have had sky blues with blue feet and some with pink. I have an elegant parrot with 7 blue toes and one pink... thought this was strange too.
January 13, 201213 yr I'm glad to see someone else that was interested in foot color. No one else ever commented on that thread, so I figured I was the only person who thinks about those things. I have something new to add to it.
January 14, 201213 yr Here's another thread from back in the day... http://forums.budgiebreeders.asn.au/index.php?showtopic=23762&st=0
