Hey Everyone

Thanks in advance

I have been trying to decide what colour and mutation my beautiful budgies are? Hopefully i can post the pictures properly :)

Please humour me as i try to get my head around budgie genetics, as i am only a beginner. For each budgie can you please inform me if there is any special abbreviations for their mutation.

Thankyou in advance, I really appreciate all in put, as I really want to learn :)

Also after we move i am planning to start breeding once it cools down abit, plus i will be able to have heaps more room.

Was planning to put Penny and Sheldon together and Leonard and Amy together, anyone able to tell me what type of babies i would get? (Just in case anyone was worried about Cosmo, i know she is only young (4months) and she will not be any where near breeding cabinets)

Thankyou again Kaitlyn

all stunning birds! some of the lighting colour appears to be off in some of the pictures making it hard to guess.

Cosmo - believe you are correct with Dominant Pied Sky blue. yes she is a hen.

Amy - a shot of the tail would help. looking at the group shot she is Opaline as well. Sky blue but i believe she may be cinnamon not part of the dilute gene family.

Leonard - first shot make him look like a yellowface. second shot a cobalt normal

Penny - violet Opaline

Sheldon - hard to say as i'm not sure of the photos have washed out the wing pattern or he is like that. I would agree with violet clearwing

Thankyou so much :)

Leonard is the only one i was 100% sure is a Sky Blue Normal :)

Sheldon's wings have the slightest grey markings, so light that i can barely see them.

Amy, i will try to get another picture if that one isn't at the right angle or clear enough.

Amy is a cinnamon opaline blue hen......

Penny is an opaline, possible dark cinnamon.
