Posted December 2, 201113 yr I've got a budgies who's almost 7 months old now. He's starting to say a few words clearly and whistles like a champ. My girl friend wants to buy one of her on now and bring it over for play dates. I was wondering if it was possible to bring another budgie over for a few hours or days them take them away for. Would that hurt the budgie? physically? or socially? does it mean they might grow to not listen to us anymore? All help would be appreciated thanks Joe

Birds are different. They can carry hidden illnesses and these usually come out with stress. Stress is a stranger sharing cage and space sporadically. I wouldnt do this. Cats and dogs can travel back and forth for playdates but not birds.
December 2, 201113 yr Author Thanks for the reply guys. Didn't really think about the illness part of it, though it would of been fun to do it.
