Posted November 27, 201113 yr I've had to hand rear this spangle chick as the parents escaped from an external breeding cage. Can anyone suggest what the adult plumage will settle down to? Currently has a mottled look with body feathers starting sky blue and tipped with a bar of darker blue then a bar of violet......almost as if the head feather pattern has "bled" onto the body.
November 30, 201113 yr Hmmmm guessing at cinnamon opaline cobalt or violet or maybe sky violet. Might help if you post a complete picture of the bird rather than just the body feathering.
November 30, 201113 yr Author Thanks - sorry I didn't post whole body shot. This was because I know its a spangle, maybe dilute, I was just wondering about the body colour.
