Posted November 5, 201113 yr okay well i was given this 6 yr old budgie an of course being unaware of here being blind, so what should i do put her in a smaller cage because i think my aviary is too big for a blind bird or, use the unwanted alternative option of sending her to heaven not prefered as she is so lively but if it has to be done.................................. it will be, thanks in advance

Thanks Kaz i thought a cage would be the way to go Hi, we had a blind bird, years ago. It would walk the perimeter of the aviary, climb the wire to a shelf. It wasn't until we saw it fall off edge of shelf we realised it was blind. It looked normal so we didn't suspect at the time either. He was put in smaller cage where he lived quite happily. p.s. a friend had one recently and wanted to breed with her. queried this on here, advice was don't try to breed with it as there would be issues trying to feed chicks etc.
