Posted October 23, 201113 yr Is this budgie a lacewing or something else? Does she have other mutations?
October 23, 201113 yr Lacewings are white and do not have that much of a blue tinge, i think its a fallow could be wrong though
October 23, 201113 yr Lacewings can have a blue tinge if bred through blues. Fallows are normally darker cinnamon markings. I still say lacewing.
October 23, 201113 yr Author What about the tip of the wings? They are white instead of brown. The tail is brown and there isn't a head patch to be found, so can she be also clearflight pied.

If thats a lacewing i want one like THAT It's actually a fault with the blue tinge, just like an albino with a blue tinge. So if you want to show birds then you really don't want them like this. But if you just want pretty birds then yeah it looks quite nice. If it was a fallow it would be worse as there is poor wing markings and not enough body colour. It looks like the photo has been taken with a flash so the blue sheen really shows out. I really like coloured Texas clearbodies and have seen some really pretty ones but not good for showing if too coloured. I breed show budgies but i still like pretty coloured budgies flying in the aviary.
October 23, 201113 yr Looks like a lacewing with suffusion to me. There are no other mutations visible
October 24, 201113 yr Author Thanks for you all! The pitures are taken with a flash, so the colours are stronger thant in natural lighting. Still wondering about the clear wings... I think she look like TCB-lacewing, but that's impossible combination.
October 24, 201113 yr She looks like a lacewing to me, just check the quill of the tail shafts if brown lacewing, but if blue Fallow cheers Clearwing
