Fang Still Can't Fly?

Featured Replies

Okay, Fang's been inside for 3 weeks. No symptoms other than being really weak and fluffy.

He only recently started eating, I've been force feeding hand rearing formula and electrolytes for 2 weeks so he's lost a fair bit of condition and weight.

I'm not sure how he's still alive really.

No abnormal feces ( well, now that he's started eating anyway ), bright eyes, clean cere, no dirty vent, no tail bobbing or anything.

He's a lot stronger ( I have the broken skin to prove it lol ).

But he still can't fly?

Any ideas?

You say that it had a broken spine??? Maybe when it broke it's spine, some of the nervous system situated in the wings broke, or the wing became demunted? Or are you saying that you 'broke your spine' trying to help it???

Broken spine???? Where are you reading this??? He said he had the broken SKIN...

Ratzy... How old is Fang? It can take a long time to build up strength after being unwell, and especially for flying. I'd keep him inside and keep feeding him up. I'd assume he'll eventually get the strength to fly. Is there any damage to his wings?

i think it would be lucky to survive it had broken its spine. Any way ratzy in regards to fang i think he is just tired or might not have enough energy, a couple more weeks rest and he should be fine.
