Today I was show cage training the 2 well actually 4 chicks that I am taking to the selection day on Sunday. And then hopefully off to the shield.

 

There is a sky blue cock purple ring, light green spangle orange ring and I thought I would take a violet and sky violet pied for numbers, they last 2 will come last for sure. I mightn't even take them yet BUT at least they behaved them save in the show cage, they were little darlings.

BUT BUT BUT the other 2 very naughty, they decided sitting on the floor was better than the perch.

 

Anyway after their little listen I put them back in the holding cages and about an hour later went in there to check on nest etc and I thought I heard a bird flying but couldn't see any thing but after looking again here was the sky up on the trophy cabinet and the light green spangle squeezed in on top of one of the wire breeding cages.

The cheeky pair had escaped, glad i saw the green spangle because slipped down behind the wire cage and there was no way for him to get out, so very lucky.

There were 6 babies in that cage but only those 2 escaped.

Thank you Twisted, I hope so too but it doesn't matter if they don't, I am sure they will grow into really good birds.
