Posted September 24, 201113 yr Hello everyone ! I have been thinking I want to start breeding budgies again, and I have bred budgies before but I was wondering if anyone had any breeding tips that helped out really well ? Like what seed do you feed your pair, how do you care for babies that had been abused by mum or dad, etc. etc ... I have cared for a baby bird from its first day because the parents were throwing him around. He was doing well, really well, and it turned out he was an albino, red eyes, white feathers. He was a slow-grower though, the others had fledged, and he was only half feahered, but he died of what we believed to be Sour Crop. So what do you feed young birds, how do you keep them warm, what temperature to keep chicks at, how hot must food be before fed to chicks, etc. etc ... I really want tips on looking after the chicks, I know the basics of breeding and a bit more, and a bit about caring for babies, but I really want to learn more before breeding again ! Thanks everyone !
September 24, 201113 yr Author FAQ section makes great reading when there are so many questions It does. Just had a look for some recipes on there. I'm making a feeding schedule for my budgies right now.
