Blueberry!

I noticed my budgie was a little alone and did not seem to be happy. So today l went to a local bird shop and looked at some budgies. I spotted a feisty little one and took him home.

The cere is a purplish color so l believe he is in deed a male.

His head has a pale yellow colour.

l believe he is a yellow face type one cobalt/maybe violet not sure :), normal budgie.

My sister named him Blueberry.

Very cute!

I would say yellow face type 1 too.. But because the photos of him have a blue background, it's hard to see what colour blue. But I would say either light blue or cobalt.

His name suits him well!

He's lovely. He'll make a good buddy.

Thanks everyone :)

Very good. Also pleased to see you are quarantining him away from your other bird.

Yes, l got him quarantine in another cage, it is a small cage but it is only for the quarantine. After September 13th, If all goes well, he will join Willow in her much bigger cage :)

Congrats on the new birdie. I'll be interested to hear how introducing your budgies to each other goes. We've been thinking of adding a second bird to our flock, but can't decide.

Thanks :)

He is really sweet.

The above pictures, l took while l had him out of his cage for some out of the cage time in the bathroom. He did stare at me and seemed to be content but l found him not to be very skittish and he did make it known to me that he did not want to go back into his cage :P

Awesome... time does fly doesn't it! Good luck and be sure to update us on how it goes.

You'll have to post photos of the happy couple.
