Posted August 2, 201113 yr I know one thing about breeding budgies.. there is always changes available. Years ago i was like a chemist.. feeding the bufgies this thing and than that thing only to find that i ran into problems. costly ones too. A very good breeder, Gary Armstrong, suggest the K.I.S.S. System. (Keep it simple stupid). I found that the bird improved and did less work and injoyed them even more. Seed: Golden Cob Supreme Budgerigar Mix Breeders get Whole Oats Chicks get Millet Sprays when they are 3 weeks old. Water: Monday to Friday. Clean Water with Marshall's Megamix Saturady and Sunday Marshall's Megamix with DuroPlus and Ioford Additives: Finger Drawers with Charcoal and Marshall's F Vite. Soft Food: Grated Carrot, Beatroot, Spinach Leaves, Parsley, Whole Oats, Marshall's TurboBooster, Marshall's E Powder, Budgie Starter and Whole Egg Powder. Weekend Treat: Greated Carrot, Corn Kernals, Spinach Leaves, Choped Celery, Parsley, Mung Beans and Snow Pea Sprouts. This is fed in the afternoon and whats left (if any) is removed before night. Medication: Doxy and Worming before seasonal breeding.
