First Egg And New Breeder

Featured Replies

How do you know they are fertile?

She only laid the second one today correct?

It takes about 6 days of the hen sitting on the eggs until you can tell whether they are fertile or not.

Hens will chuck eggs out that are way overdue to hatch sometimes.

But they don't really know if the eggs are fertile or not. Hens will sit on infertile eggs.

Totally agree with Maddy :D

i think my third egg is layed tonight yaya

Not if she only laid the second one yesterday ............every two days not every day.

I know it can happen on the odd occasion Maddy. I am just advising Nathan not to expect one every day as every two days is normal.

Yes fair enough. :P

Remember to only check the nest twice a day nathan, and PLEASE read the article kaz gave you.

If you have, read it again.

I still read it every now and then. It has everything you need to know.
