July 2, 201113 yr Author Schoolboy is a little camera shy! lol Ive been trying for a few days to get a clear shot of him. But will post one up as soon as i do. Thank you for the info i had an idea on what they were but im new at it all and still learning. Would Jack be yellowface type 1?
July 10, 201113 yr Author Here are my 2 new budgies I purchased today And from the back (with flash):
July 14, 201113 yr Author Im confused about the Pied i got. Is it male or female?? Here are some closer shots of the cere. The blue actually looks a bit lighter in the photos than in real life (and i also noticed it has one blue cheek patch and one white one. Thats so cute!!!)
July 16, 201113 yr Author Thanks Jetsbudgie, It is just acting like a hen. Not as noisy or as active as the other cocks i have, but having said that it could still be adjusting as ive only had it for less than a week.
July 16, 201113 yr I think that budgie has an ambiguous cere. I wouldnt be too quick to call it a cock. Does look Hen-ish and it could go either way right now.

Even though these cages come with perches that run across the cage....you are far better off recutting them and having them on each side of the cage running front to back. this enables the bird to be able to fly across the cage and not just sit there and sidle along.
July 21, 201113 yr Author Thanks KAZ for the advice. I was going to pull them out and put in natural branches (non toxic of course) I will make sure they dont run lengthways Thanks Pride and Robyn
