June 13, 201113 yr Author What standout stormers caught your eye Peter ? and was any particular breeders birds more highly sought after than most ? Hi Kaz, The Ross Loats birds that we selected to show at the Young Bird Shield sold very well. Grey Green cock that run 2nd at the Shield sold for 2700. Cinn Sky hen that replaced the greywing made 2700 (we sold the greywing at Ross' auction). Rec Pied made 2500 and 2nd placed clearbody at the Nats made 1800. The Hunter birds attracted the usual spirited competition with a top of $3000. Borg & Skivington sold some super birds reflecting the good season they had last year with a top of 1600. Happy with how my birds went - ave 360 with a top of 1100 for the brother to the Albinos that run 3rd and 4th at the Nats. Glad it's over for another year!
