They surely are!! You really don't see the whole of their colours until they are in full flight.

 

Hey we are (hopefully :unsure: ) going to be in the Canterbury region Sept/Oct but a lot of work to do before then!!!! (Trying to get the kids on a skiing trip before they leave school.)

 

PS I'm hopeless with a camera!!!

I love how they look in flight too. I only get a really good look at my pet budgie's amazing colours when does that stall manoeuvre as he's about to land on my head!
