April 12, 201114 yr hello everyone, what are some important things when looking after when breeding budgies and there chicks? thanks ralph Ralph, you will find there is a big difference, in breeding Budgies,to breeding Poultry, As Kaz said on your other post, don't put nest boxes on your cage 7 if you are going to breed, I would go with single pens. Get yourself a couple of good books out of the Library & read up on keeping, Budgies or read the sections on the forum of what you need to do,to breed Budgies. In the case of Poultry, you can get by,with just throwing a bit of feed & water in the pen & the hen will rear the chicks. It is far more complicated with Budgies. In the looking after them. April 21, 201114 yr Hi Ralph, If you go to F.A.Q. on bbc then Breeding budgerigars, you will find everything you need to know listed there. You can read up on everything before you attempt to breed. You can then refer back to it for any problem you encounter. That's all you need, lots of reading but well worth the effort.
