Posted April 9, 201114 yr Hi Everyone, My name is Meagan and ive recently discovered this forum whilst googling the net and thought as i am a budgie lover i might as well join up! I have kept birds of all sorts since i was a child - budgies were the first birds i kept as pets and it seems now that ive returned to keeping the delightful little birds. Ive kept cockatoos of all sorts and id have to say out of everything ive owned (and still do own) the budgies would have to have the most personality and character. At the moment we only have our two Budgies, Alfonz an Esmerelda. They arent tame but happily reside in their own aviary with their next door neighbours (in seperate aviaries) the major Mitchells, Galahs, Sulphur Cresteds and an assortment of black cockatoos. It give me much pleasure to sit on the back porch and single out the budgies pleasant chattering beneath all of the racous squaking of the toos. Hope to meet lots of budgie lovers on this site and learna little more about my colourful friends and mabye even add more to my flock in the near future! Chat to yu soon!
April 9, 201114 yr Welcome to the forum. I hope you find all the help and delightful new friends on this forum, because I know I have. Wow, that many birds? I would love that many one day, but I think at the moment my parents would kill me. LOL Budgies and chickens are enough to have in the backyard. Though I hope to get a pig one day. April 11, 201114 yr Author woops Guys, thought id correct the spelling of my Name. its spelt Megan - my computer keys are not so great anymore and a & e seem to come together failry often and since meagan is another way of spelling my name it still seems to make sense. Ill make sure to edit my posts more carefully in the future as this keyboard isnt very reliable!! O & u dont work all that often and i think i type to fast for the keyboard to register and letters often get missed out (whole sentences sometimes!!) Thanks for the welcome! April 13, 201114 yr okay, we will forget the "a" . I can understand your obsession with our native parrots. They are truely some of the most beautiful I think. Prudence has limited me to budgies but in my perfect world I have a plethora of our natives.... Ah, just dreaming.....
