okay so I am going to try and put up some pictures of some of my birds. Fingers crossed all goes well... LOL

I only have 22 birds for now. I think that the grey green pair are my best pair, and I would like to pair them up together.

Also I like this recessive pied, he has no tail so he looks short. Trying to find a suitable hen.

Thanks Kochy, I got them from a breeder.

I bred budgies about 6-7 years ago for 2 years and had to give

them away due to circumstances. I always missed the birds and

intended to get some again. I went to the local market a few weeks

ago and there was 2 club members selling culls. I was glad to see

them there, and caught up on some goss, and couldn't walk away

without some birds. Hopefully they will breed for me and I can post

pictures of the babies.

Very very nice birds :)

Thanks KAZ :)

Yes Twisted very nice, good luck with your pairing and future babies.

They look great, all best with your breeding.

Some good news.

The pair of grey greens have 3 eggs so far and DRUMROLLLLLLLLLL I see fertility. :D

Now just gotta hope that they hatch out.

Sounds promising, all the best with those eggs smile.gif

Been offline with internet problems, 5 eggs all fertile, will post as something happens.

  • 2 weeks later...

Just an update.

1 of the 5 eggs just vanished into thin air.

2 chicks hatched and dead first day. Not being fed. Problem with having only 1 pair laying eggs.

2 eggs left. Both fertile.

At least I know the pair are fertile, will make sure that I have more pairs down next time, so I can foster the young.

I purchase some new birds, might try and get a round in before winter.

Try topping the chicks up with a dropper of food for a few feeds till they are stronger, squark loud enough and see if the parents feed them when a few days older.

Got some rearing food today, and a dropper, came home and the other 2 eggs had been kicked out.

Both dead in shell. 1 old one and 1 was fresh. Bit disappointed but I expected it with only 1 box to work with.

Will be ready for it next time.
