Sick Budgie

My budgie Chirples is usually always chirping and playing with her toys. In the morning she will chirp with the other birds outside but the this morning she didn't want to. She just kept sleeping. I noticed that her poops on the bottom of the cage are really runny and she isnt too interested in eating or drinking. I fed her a bit of seed and put a little bit of water on a cotton bud and she had a bit of a drink but as soon as she done she goes back to sleep. I'm not sure as to what sex she is, i have been told by many it is a boy but it could be a girl. Please help.

Is she fluffed up, anyway I would put her next to a heat lamp and keep her warm, and if you have any sulpha for birds or tripleC or a broadspectum antibotic, I would give her some but heat is the most important thing when a budgie is sick.

thank you. We kept her warm. We took her to the vet today and he told us she had worms and gave us some antibiotics. :)

antibiotics do not treat worms. Can you be more specific ?? was the vet an avian vet or a normal vet ?

We went to a normal vet as there are no avian vets nearby. The vet gave us worming treatment as well. The antibiotics have worked so far, as my budgie is well again. Though she has started to lose a few more larger feathers than usual. Could this be due to the antibiotics??
