okay so i have 2 show budgies and 7 regular budgies every nite i cover there cages with a cloth so they wont be cold, temps have never been as low as 34F-40F here were i live, but from today(sat) till prob wed. the temperatures at nite are going to drop to those degrees should i be concerned about my budgies?? what can i do? im really concerned about my birds well being

Where I live we have extremes in weather ranging from minus 5 degrees c to 46 degrees c, so I don't think you need to worry. Cheers Clearwing

What country do you live in?, like Clearwing said the birds can take the cold too, it get very hot here in Australia during the summer months and very cold during the winter months.

ah okay, its because i tought they wouldnt be able to stand those cold temps, i live in the US on the state of California

Important to not only consider temperature but draughts and moisture like rain getting in too

Thank you KAZ for the extra info, today i used an extra blanket to cover my bird cages and were im keeping them now, the temp is just about constant all the time, i have a thermometer in the room, and the temp drops about 2 degrees comapred to all the other rooms in the house :)
