February 9, 201114 yr Author No, he is male. I'm sure. His wing markings are definitely brighter than normal spangle so that is weird...

I'm sure. His wing markings are definitely brighter than normal spangle so that is weird... i dont understand what you mean by brighter than a normal spangle ?? can you explain also did you use a flash and what makes you say male ??? looks like a hen to me if its under 6 months then maybe a male but over then its a hen for sure can i ask what his mum n dad are ?? you sure hes dom pied ? he may just be a spangle with a head spot that is a normal acurance hes sky blue and goldenface that i am sure of (she) the rest well i couldnt tell you :{ sorry
February 10, 201114 yr The bird is definately a Dominant Pied GF Spangle, that much is sure. As for the Greywing.....he has far to bright a body colour and cheek patch for the Greywing. I am not convinced by the pics that it is any Greywing at all. Spangle markings can vary considerably from quite pale to heavily marked like the other in the photo. February 10, 201114 yr thats what i was getting at eventually, lol i just wasn't sure as i couldn't see its front of bird so cant see the band acrossed belly and the sister looks normal spangle not dom why i asked what parents were still think its a hen what you think rip cock or hen
February 10, 201114 yr I wouldn't have said Greywing. I too think she is a hen - and her Spangle markings come out as Cinnamon on my monitor. Both the birds are very pretty. I love the colouring of them
February 10, 201114 yr Author I don't know what mutaions are their parents And I'm sure that he is male. I used flash so the colour of his cere looks different than in daylight. And the behavior suggest me that he is HE. I will breed him with dilute hen in September so if he's a FBC greywing spangle that chicks would be greywing and clearwing. If not that means he isn't greywing or FBC greywing spangle. Other pictures of him:
