Posted January 24, 201114 yr I know its FAR too early to decide on names for the little budgies in their eggs but I just can't help it! There's six altogether but any names, male and female would be great- Oh, and does anyone know any great names for a Taffy (brown) gelding-just looking for some names (: Thanks (*:
January 24, 201114 yr Firstly I'd recomend waiting till they hatch and grow a bit. There are far to many risks of loosing some of them between now and then. As for names... I like to use themes. My first bred chicks were Snap, Crackle and Pop, after Rice Bubbles. My second set were John, Paul, George and Ringo, after The Beatles. My Cockatiels are Bert and Ernie. Not all of my names are like this though. I also have pet rats and they were named based on them, their personalities and what seemed to go. So, if I were you I'd look at song, groups, albums, interests, movies, TV shows etc...
January 25, 201114 yr I name my budgies in pairs for some reason. Skye and Marigold ( both things of nature ) Lexi and Dude ( attitude names ) Chubba Chubs and Thimble ( cutey pooty names )
January 28, 201114 yr We only have two budgies, they are recent additions to our family. Our blue boy is named Luigi and our pure white one is called Ray. My son named them so no special connections. I must say..have never met anyone else with a budgie named Ray! LOL
March 14, 201114 yr My young bloke went with Mork and Mindy for his first pair of budgies funny stuff.
March 16, 201114 yr I read in another post from forum member VIXEN of a bird named LAMBCHOPS hehe That name made me laugh.
March 21, 201114 yr Sorry Luce, would have to see the budgie babies to start, and as for the gelding, our taffy coloured mare was called just that: Taffy!! How boring, but she was a mongrel anyway.
March 21, 201114 yr 'Lambchop' is a very cute name. Your could pair it with 'Potato' ! As for the brown gelding, what about a nut name. Like Macadamia or Brazil.
March 21, 201114 yr Nice names but have to admit that I haven't met a budgie called Ray either yet.lol
