Hand Feeding Mix

I have no idea if this is a good idea or not, my friend Kate told me that if I want to breed my budgies in the future they should have a great diet all he time! this is true and I agree with her.

She told me that I should mix Hand feeding formula (still powdered) through my pairs seed, not enough to be clumpy but just enough so everything is lightly dusted...is this agood idea or not?

If your budgies have a wide and varied diet then that is enough. Mixing dry powder into their seed will do nothing to assist that....they will still select the full seeds to hull and leave anything dusty behind.

This is what my birds get daily,it may change depending on what ive got, but mostly stays the same except the beetroot it is only added once a week because it is high in acidity.

The smaller bowls are for the breeders the ones on the left have alot more because their raising chicks, the bigger bowl goes in the flight, besides the veg it has a good whack of garlic powder,1 heaped teaspoon of egg and biscuit and 2 heaped teaspoons of budgie starter.

For the two budgies you have got , Seed and fresh water, dont add anything to the food. Some green leaves once a week.
