February 22, 201114 yr That is excellent, your grandfather did a great job with the divider and door, lol send him my way, I can always do with a handy man, no matter what age, lol. You did a great job with your cage cabinet too, well done.
February 22, 201114 yr Looks fantastic! Both your Grandfather and yourself did a great job! Looks like it will work really well. *** I LOVE using my tools too... At Christmas this year all the females of the family got perfume, clothes, bags etc... and I got a 'sander' lol... Happy building I say! ***
February 22, 201114 yr Author Thanks Haha thats awesome Maesie I would much rather get something useful like that than perfume or clothes
February 22, 201114 yr Very professional Maddy............well done you and grand dad !!! I also have vertical banks that hold cages. Mine are on wheels for easy moving about and cleaning behind them. Give a woman tools and she will own the earth !!! LOL
February 22, 201114 yr Yeh, my chrissy pressy was a 254mm mitre slide saw with slide, I think it is the best thing since slice bread lol. Last year at the Riverina show I won a cordless drill but it is pretty gutless but I also won a belt sander which is great. So I am getting some of my own tools.
February 22, 201114 yr mmmmm kaz is that why im not allowed any tools lol is my dad scared im going to rule the earth :} i could see how that could be a very scary thought hee hee about the aviry my goodness Maddy you are supper great that's awesome congratulates on a very very workable flight / breeding room
February 22, 201114 yr Hey Maddy..........you are a perfect example of listening to good advice and following through when you can
February 23, 201114 yr Author aww shucks Thanks guys. I try and take advice wherever I can and learn from it. Already this flight/breeding room is working for me as I was having problems with the free birds taking the info card off of the nest box and chewing it. Now it can sit there all the time I might so some rearranging too as the in-use breeding cabinets are kind of in the dark in the corner at the moment, but this is easily fixed
February 23, 201114 yr Author So I found some time today to get the drill out again and take a shot at making a shelf for inside the flight area. I have to say I'm loving being a handywoman So now instead of having to navigate a big heavy bird bath out of the door to clean it, I just need to grab the handle. I'm also not whacking my head on the hanging seed dish anymore. As well as the shelf, I rearranged the cabinets a little so that the occupied one gets more sunlight now and its not crammed in the corner. I got attacked by a fat black garden spider while doing this *shudders*
February 23, 201114 yr you are on a roll want to come here you can help me out what state you in again lol
