January 19, 201114 yr I was told to keep the breeding cabinets outside the avairy as the breeding pair will get disrupted/distracted. I sectioned off an area of my avairy in order to have a breeding room. The avairy is now smaller, but still has plenty of room and I now have a breeding area that the aviary birds can't get into.
January 19, 201114 yr hi will budgies breed in a breeding cabinent if it is in the aviary i have put some breeding cabinents in my aviary and birds are flying around and disrupting the birds inside the cabernet coudl this disrupt there breeding. You will have no success breeding with cabinets inside an aviary as you are already discovering.
January 19, 201114 yr Yes it is possible. It depends on the nature of the birds though. Are all of your birds breeding, or only a selected few?
January 19, 201114 yr Thats a bad idea, you can expect birds to lose toes doing that. The disruption will prevent or severely disrupt breeding as well as increase stress, which increases the risk of abandoning eggs and chicks as well as plucking.
