Posted January 14, 201114 yr every female budgie at age of 12 in it's life breed and we have to breed them 2 times a year so at age of four we should stop them from breeding and if we don't the age so totally we should breed them 6 times...isn't this right?
January 14, 201114 yr They should not breed younger than 12 months old or older than 4 years of age. Is that what you are trying to say? I am not sure!
January 15, 201114 yr I'm not 100% sure what you are saying... if you are saying that if you breed a budgie twice a year after they are 12 months and then stop when they are 4, she will have 6 clutches... then yes, this is currect. BUT you don't have to breed them that many times... you can also breed them more than twice a year but not more then twice in a row. They need time to rest and recover. That is why you were told not to breed your hen for the third time! BUT... if you don't know their age, you shouldn't breed them until you can be certain they are older than 12 mths Edited January 15, 201114 yr by maesie
