Posted January 10, 201114 yr i have a female budgie whose babies were 1 and half weeks old i have separated it and i was thinking won't she keep them warm and i have separated it so do u think i should put it back
January 10, 201114 yr Is she is a seperate breeding cage with her babies and her partner ? One and half weeks is too soon for her to be taken away from her babies.
January 10, 201114 yr Author yup she is separated with it's PARTNER And it's babies.....and what is the best age of babies when to separate the female
January 11, 201114 yr ... You do do not separate the chicks from their parents untill they are eating on their own. When I breed I leave them with their parents until they fledge (Leave the nest). You also say you need to separate her so she can have her THIRD clutch... Do you mean third in a row? If so this is a bad idea. They should be given a rest after the second BEFORE breeding again. It's really bad for their health.

January 14, 201114 yr you really need to read up on budgies mate im sorry but its people like you that do then ask that drive me crazy stop breeding learn then breed when you know basic things sure ask questions but actually have a small clue its not fair on the birds that you have no idea :{ Well said GB. Osman - as a relative novice myself I can tell you that you REALLY need to READ through all the advice here and only then should you start asking questions. And do A LOT of research before you start breeding.
January 14, 201114 yr Osman. You are missing some very vital and important information but you are already breeding and due to your lack or good information your birds will suffer. What you should be doing is stop breeding entirely until you have more knowledge. We can help you here and help you learn, but you must stop until you know more.
